Reliant at Home Care Serves in Montgomery County SAAC Health Fair
For the second year in a row Reliant at Home Care was excited to participate in the Montgomery County SAAC Senior Health Fair this week. The health fair was for seniors of Montgomery County looking for providers such as home care, assisted living, hospice, and other resources in the area having to do with Senior Care in Montgomery County.
The mission of the Senior Adult Activities Center of Montgomery County (Montco SAAC) is to involve, enrich and empower adults 50 years of age or better to live as independently as possible in our communities.
Montgomery County SAAC does this by promoting the wellness of adults 50 years of age or better through recreational, educational and social opportunities as well as being a referral source for services available within our service area. Activities and programming of our centers emphasize creating and maintaining independence in all phases of life in Senior Citizens.
Along with activities at Montco SAAC they also provide a Meals on Wheels program which is a partnership between dedicated volunteers and spirited clients who, despite the challenges of age or disability, are determined to live independently in their own homes and communities. Clients receive two meals a day, Monday through Friday.
For more then four decades, Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County SAAC has served the area residents of 25 municipalities. The mission to maintain independence has not changed, but the program has become more than just meals. Volunteers not only deliver hot meals, but also frozen and special diet meals. It becomes more than meals when our volunteers visit and socialize with the recipient.
Reliant at Home Care was excited to join in Montco SACC’s big day and looks forward to working together in the future ensuring quality Senior Care in Montgomery County.
